I took a vacation to see my brother in Florida this week. It was wonderful and it really takes being away to appreciate coming home. I am happy to be back in Pennsylvania with the goats.
Boer goats are typically good natured which makes them great show animals for 4H Goat Shows as well as breeding association shows.
When I went up to the barn this morning they all had to come over for their hello and a pat on the head. The Buck, while still very much in ‘rut’ (breeding mode) also had to come get his welcome. It the reason we do this, the interaction with this breed is extremely fulfilling.
